Harm Peters is an MD by training and practice. He is Professor of Nephrology and Professor of Medical Education at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin in Germany. He is also Director of the Dieter Scheffner Centre for Medical Education and Educational Research at the Charité Berlin. He joined the AMSE Executive Committee in 2014, first serving as AMSE Treasurer before becoming AMSE President in 2020. Prof. Peters became a member of the Global Network for Medical, Health Professions and Bioethics Education in 2024.
