Russell Franco D’Souza  is currently the dean and professor of organisational psychological medicine at the International Institute of Organisational Psychological Medicine, which is based in Melbourne, Australia; Doncaster, UK; and Melbourne, Florida, USA. He is the Co-Chair of the Global Network for Medical, Health Professions, and Bioethics Education, Based in Melbourne, Australia. He is the Chair and Head of the Department of Education of the International Chair in Bioethics and WMA Cooperating Centre, University of Porto. Professor Russell D’Souza is the Chair and Head of the Asia Pacific Division of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics at the University of Haifa, a position he assumed in 2011. In March 2017, he was appointed Director of the Department of Education for the International Program of the UNESCO Chair in International Bioethics at the University of Haifa. He was the former Director of Clinical Trials and the Bipolar Program at the Northern Psychiatry Research Centre, Melbourne University, and Northern Hospital, Melbourne, until 2015, when he relinquished his position after a decade to facilitate working with the International Institute of Organisational Psychological Medicine and the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics. Dr Russell D’Souza is mandated, as the Director of Education of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, to initiate evidence-based teaching and reform teaching methodologies in bioethics education and medical and health professions education. Professor Russell D’Souza qualified for his MBBS and MD in Pulmonary Medicine from Madras Medical College and the University of Madras. He migrated to Australia in 1981 and completed postgraduate qualifications in Psychiatry, Health Service Management, Medical Education, Disability Management, Clinical Research Management, Bioethics, and Medical Administration from Melbourne University, Monash University, Canberra University, the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators, The American Board of Disability Analysists, American Psychiatry Association and the Australasian College of Health Service Management. In 2016, he was awarded the Doctor of Science Honari Causa. Professor Russell D’Souza has received numerous international awards and holds academic appointments at universities in India, Asia, and Latin America. He is the editor-in-chief of Global Bioethics Enquiry and the Indexed International Journal of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics. He is the founding managing editor of the Asian Journal of Psychiatry. He has over 100 publications in peerreviewed journals. He is the author of the spiritually augmented cognitive behaviour therapy textbook and has authored chapters in several books.
