Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis is a Member of the European Parliament from Lithuania and serves as Coordinator in the Committee on Public Health. He previously held office as the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania, the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, and the WHO Special Envoy for Universal Health Coverage for the European Region. A physician and prominent European health policy leader, he has been an important voice in advancing the vision of a stronger European Health Union and is currently serving as rapporteur in the European Parliament’s work on the Biotech Act.
